This hike was a bit difficult and quite the challenge. I kept thinking that it might be challenging due to the weather conditions on Saturday since there was rain and light snow but Sunday, the day we actually hiked it was a beautiful sunny day. Going up we took our time since we wanted to enjoy the views. When we got to the saddle we could feel the weather a lot more colder when we sat for a break. We ended up taking a long break. As we moved on to do the last of the hike towards the top it got a lot more intense but there was patches of snow on the trail along the tree parts of the switchbacks . It wasnt too much to where we needed microspikes so we just didn't put them on. When we reached the peak and turning over to look at my husband and seeing him cry is by far one of my favorite moments together. That feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment can never be taken away by anyone. This hike definitely had a lot more rocks than I expected which after not wearing my knee braces I definitely felt the pain on my knees afterwards. I still want to go back and hike again for redemption;)
