This was my idea of a perfect hike! 11.6 six miles took me and my partner 6.5 hours. We booked it up and back with little resting, except for 40 minutes we spent on the summit having breakfast. We started at 4:45AM (there were several other groups at that hour as well) and reached the summit before 8AM, and back to the car by 11:20AM. River was gorgeous enough to take a dip (which we didn't do, but was very tempting!) Was glad we started as early as we did, as the sun increased the temp on the way down, and we were grateful to be on our way out by then.
Surprisingly found this to be MUCH easier than Mt. Wilson, even with a lower elevation. Great hike – my favorite so far in the six-peak challenge!
