Since this route showed up on MTB Project app I figured I would go ahead and take the opportunity to bike to one of the summits! It was quite a technical climb on a bike and there where a few spots I had to dismount and hike my bike up. If I were hiking the whole way I wouldn’t be bothered by the rocks.
the weather was overcast and a bit humid (for Colorado) but no rain on the trip. The view from the top was amazing! A little hazy but still had great visibility. Enjoyed a nice snack on the summit then headed down.
This is an awesome hike to start the climbing season. Well maintained trail with good trail markings. I enjoyed the shade along the way as some summit hikes can be overwhelming with sun exposure. At the top be sure to go past the radio tower to reach the summit marker! Also, I did this hike as a loop which made the total trip a little longer but I always prefer to do a loop when possible.
Can’t wait for summit #2
