The hike itself was great. Weather was sunny and a little cold, but overall a great day for Mt. Wilson. We started at Chantry flats and ended at… Not Chantry flats. There is a turn off the toll road on the descent that we completely missed because of the lack of signs, which we didn't realize until 4 miles later because of no cell service. Aside from adding 4 miles to the hike, this new route offered us an awesome view of LA on the way down to the start of the Eaton canyon trail to get a ride back to the trailhead. Make sure to be careful of the turn off if you go down the toll road, but otherwise the hike is a great starting point for mountain hiking
