Live-In Fire Tower Ranger

Clouds were forecast for this day, but instead we got full sun all the way up the mountain.  The trail is really a dirt service road, so it doesn’t have any obstacles really.  It’s a gradual ascent for 5 miles with a steep portion at the very end.  The peak has a fire lookout tower with a ranger who actually lives in the tower for about 5 months.  She gave us a tour of the tower and answered our many questions.

Some clouds came in and provided some respite from the sun as we hiked back down the road to our cars.
