Great trail conditions, hike clocks closer to 17 miles(getting off the mountain seems to take forever for nonparticipating reason), lot of wildflowers, great views throughout the hike, the “saddle” at Manzanita Flats is stunning. Word to the wise, a lot of the trail is out in the open with no cover. Bring lots of water, at least 5L,(and those hikers ran out as well) and a water filter to refill at Limber Pine Spring. Nearly everyone was out of water 1-2 miles from the parking lot. Temperature at the lot was in the 80’s, and so was the last 4 miles down. The road to the parking lot is rough, but passable, unless you drive a low riding vehicle.
