First hike of the 6 peaks and it was short and sweet. Was a round trip of 4.23 miles with approximately 1,460ft of elevation gained. Went out mid-day and the dirt on the trail became a tad hot for my pups paws. He decided to lay down and I had to end up carrying him the rest of the way up LOL. At about the 2 mile mark the trail opens up and allows you too see great views with the 3 sisters in the distance. Once you reach the summit you come across a variety of viewpoints as well as a small lookout hut/cabin with great history about it. Overall a great hike to get this 6peak challenge rolling.
