The first two miles into the hike was easy. It's pretty rocky, lots of loose rocks so watch your step. But going further as we begun to ascend it gets tough because it's sharp inclines and declines a few times until the final incline to the top. Follow by some FALSE peaks along the way. We'd made it to the top. Crazy views of the ocean of cloud, fog and smog covering SoCal. So after that we came down back to our cars. It was still mid-morning and still had energy to spare so we drove up Wilson road to hike up San Gabriel and Mt. Disappointment. Wasn't much up there except communication towers, an abandoned helipad and a peak (San Gabriel Peak) that's taller than Strawberry and Mt. Wilson but it it not included in the 12 peak challenge. Strange. But we knock that out. Went up to Wilson to use the restroom and chill a bit and then headed back down to Pasadena for some food and brew as usual.
