This one was a reunion hike. Although I arrived late, I knew I could catch up with my two friends later on the trail so after starting the hike at Manker Flats I made a side trip to San Antonio Falls before heading up the Ski Hut Trail. I made good time and reached the Ski Hut just as I saw they were leaving. I took 10 minutes break and then headed up the Baldy Bowl Trail to the summit. I took multiple breaks. I reached the summit shortly after my friends had reached the summit. We hiked down together down Devil's Backbone to the Notch and had a meal before heading down the fireroad back to Manker. We also talked with two other hikers whom we met at the summit and were also having a meal at the Notch. This was the most relaxing Baldy hike I've ever been and the earliest I returned back to the trailhead. The weather was sunny all throughout. Not too hot.
