I started my hike aroud 6:15am from manker flats. It was my first time summitting Baldy. I went up Register Ridge. Register Ridge was challenging, pretty steep and lots of loose rocks but had some majestic views of Baldy Bowl and the canyon below. The weather was perfect, i was a little over dressed but didn't ger too hot. It took me about 5 hours to summit, there wasnt a lot of snow and i didnt use my microspikes. The summit was a little crowded so only took my picture and then went on to summit west baldy, elevation 9,988ft, only saw a few ppl over there. I rested there for a good amount of time before heading back down Register Ridge. Had a lot of fun safely getting down the ridge. Got back to my car around 3:30 pm, total 9 hours out there. Im still getting use to breathing at that elevation and plan on improving my summit time.
