Post-Spartan Race Hike Up Mt. Pinos

I hiked Mt Pinos last Sunday after a Spartan Trail Race in nearby Lebec because it was conveniently located within 30 minutes of the venue.  Fortunately it is not a tough hike; indeed, I submitted the 1.8 mile trail from Nordic Base to the peak with only about 600 ft elevation gain in just over 30 minutes.  It is the easiest by far of the 6-Pack of Peaks hikes;  there were even a few mountain bikers at the summit (granted they were e-bikes).  The trail is a gently graded fire road, with open meadows, and a fantastic view from the summit.  My 6POP Challenge for 2019 is complete!  (I still want to try to bag all 12 before the year is out)
