So glad to see Ontario Peak on the list for the 2018 Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge, even if it is listed as an alternate to Cucamonga Peak. The trail to Ontario Peak is less-traveled and I kinda like it that way. Makes for a much more quiet experience. Once again, I over-prepared and brought my microspikes but there wasn't enough snow on the trail to warrant their use. The most snow I encountered was at Kelly Camp and it was still soft enough to walk through and very little ice. Another great hike with cool temps, clear skies and beautiful views. Four down, four to go….Woah halfway there. Next up, beautiful Mount Baldy!
