This was a fabulous day for the hike! It was cool which made it nice ALL the way up. It was a little breezy at the saddle and at the top, but the view was totally worth it. Not many people on the trail so no traffic jams. It took us about 5 hours to get to the top.
There was one small “waterfall” at the beginning of the hike. I like hearing the water on the right side of the trail for the first mile and a half. Now, regarding the other “falls”….the trail was very rocky at points and to keep up with normal routine, I slipped and fell on my butt on the way up. No harm done! The way down….another fall! I must be the clumsiest person around! At least I didn't fall over the edge!
This hike was a continuous uphill with a lot of the trail being rocky. Coming down took an hour longer than I anticipated because I didn't want to keep falling. We took 4 hours to get back to the bottom.
It was a great day for the most part! Glad there was no snow on the trail and we really enjoyed the views!
