Hiked Tumalo Mountain with Joan on a Friday morning. The trail begins on the west side of Tumalo, and climbs through forest that thins as you climb. It was another sunny day, and the early start meant we avoided the worst of the heat.
Even though it was a weekday, there were a few other hikers on the trail.
There was still snow clinging to the east side, but nothing that crossed the trail.
One thing that amused me… the signs at the Dutchman Sno-Park were WAY off the ground — designed to be read when the snow is piled high above solid ground, but completely impractical during the summer.
