My husband and I started the hike around 0800 and it was already warm. This hike defines challenge. We both were challenged both physically and mentally. It took perseverance and a little stubbornness to complete the hike. The trail was narrow, rocky, steep and scary! The sky was blue and cloudless-it was HOT!! I carried 5L of water and I used it all! We both wanted to turn around and come back another day but just to think of retracing the previous steps was unbearable. So we moved forward at a very slow pace but we finally made it to the summit!!! Rewarding, relief and thankful that we are able to complete such a challenge. Looking forward to the next peaks!!!
