A crispy, late Fall hike marking the last of my 6-pack peaks. The drama of cloud and fog with a gauzey ball of sun attempting to break through greeted us as we started the 7.4 mile hike that ended up being 9.3 miles. We added on to it by going the Sierra Azul trail for a bit, hoping to catch up with another six packer and fellow hiker who overslept due to baking Christmas treats for us. This last hike was the easiest but most surprising since virtually no one else was on our trail or at the top, save a few determined bicyclists and joggers. Gorgeous manzanita and madrone trees and one other (bay or laurel?) predominated the trail.
