First the Devil, Mount Diablo

Excellent day to make this summit of Mount Diablo, clear skies, about 52 degrees and slight winds. Parked at Diablo Valley Lookout. Crossed over to Juniper Trail and proceeded to the summit. Trail is well marked and has a good mix of shade and open space with amazing views. Easy climb to the top. Actual summit is inside the lookout tower, which is accessible through the gift shop. Left the summit and proceeded to The Devil’s Pulpit. Proceeded around the summit to the East then rejoined Juniper Trail and returned to start point. Amazing views 360 degrees. Sutro Tower and San Francisco were visible in the distance.
