It was a beautiful day to kick off 2021.  I really wanted to see some snow and was not disappointed!  This was my first hike to Strawberry Peak and it was a good challenge, especially the scramble to the top.  There are some slippery areas, so I would recommend boots or crampons.  I was able to make it in my trail running sneakers, but had to take a slow pace in the. snowy sections.  I had the summit to myself for a short time, which was lovely.  Everyone I encountered on the trail had masks and were polite.  Such a great hike!
