1st Spiked Hike

The trail is easy to follow up to the Condor Observatory.  It disappears in large sections after that.  This was my 1st time hiking in spikes.  I don’t think this would be a very challenging hike when it’s clear, but it was slow going with lots of slippery slush and post holing for the last 2 miles.  It was beautiful and I’m really glad I took the challenge of doing it in the snow.  I only saw 1 other person the entire time I was out there.  Amazing!
