Baldy!

Went up Ski hut and down the backbone. Ski hut trail is steep! The restaurant was open (weekends and holidays) so we got to stop for a beer on the way down 🙂

after the ski hut is a series of switchbacks, then it’s a choose your own adventure through the manzanitas. Keep an eye out for the posts on the way up and as long as you keep reaching them, you will make it up and out! They definitely helped for trail finding.

Very little wind at the top today, we started early (530ish) and the weather was lovely and never too hot. I don’t know how anyone heads out later to head up! The heat makes the incline that much harder!
