This trail was very well maintained with very little shade. Hiking it on a Saturday, we encountered less than 10 people on our journey. Everyone seemed to be doing trails on the other side of the street – leaving plenty of open trail for us.
The red rocks and dirt made for a beautiful visual once you’ve climbed a bit in evaluation; check out the pine trees growing side-by-side cacti.
The peak has a few beautiful shaded places for a nice places to rest
