Belknap Crater

Trailhead is immediately off hwy 242. Trail starts with some surrounding trees and then quickly turns into exposed lava field. The cool, partly cloudy conditions made for great hiking weather – definitely would not hike this during the summer with how exposed it is. Watched The Hills have Eyes the night prior to the hike which I don’t recommend (given the landscape of the lava fields ????).
