Hiked with a group

We started our hike later than we would have liked, but it was what our schedules allowed. Parking at the trailhead next to the Williams Ranger Station for the Kaibab National Forest, we started our trek up the mountain. The trail would alternate between relatively level stretches and more strenuous climbs until the last mile which is all climb. The weather was perfect (it’s been pretty unpredictable this Spring) and gave us a great sunset peeking through the trees on our way down. The summit is a bit cluttered with all of the cell towers and such, but still offers great views of the San Francisco peaks, Sedona and even west towards Kingman. We did end our hike in the dark, which was a bit treacherous, but no regrets!
