Challenging hike to Mount Diablo

It was a very interesting hike from the very start with knowing that park can only be access starting 8 am due to parking chanted and gate entry. We saw lot of bikers on the way and interacted with few to know that this is a bikers paradise. Our hike had lot of loose gravel asking to have much better shoes when you hike and the overall path is single person for almost half the hike called bald head trail. The other half path is more open but hiking on hot day is very very challenging with low shaded areas. The view at the summit was breathtaking with majority of Bay Area cities visible and we tried finding half dome but we’re not successful. Will rate the hike as a tough one requiring lot of stamina due to steep climb.
