Cow Pies and Blue Skies

Sunday 9/17 – Day 1 of 6, hike 1 of 6. Hi all, I’m James.  I live in Seattle but had a 6-day window between dropping my daughter off at college and a family function in LA.  So, what better way to spend it than a Six Pack of Peaks Challenge.  I have tried and failed 2 times prior to complete a challenge.  The Pacific Northwest because of injury (take your spikes off while Glissading) and the Central Oregon (5 of 6 complete) because of wildfires.  Fingers crossed for this one.

Bishop Peak was a great introduction to the area.  While the trail is a little exposed and rocking in some spots, the breeze was very refreshing.  Lots of Cal Poly students out taking advantage of a beautiful day.  Easy access to the trail with parking in the neighborhood.
