Definitely the best in the Pack of Six!

This is an all asphalt hike up the mountain. Park in the Paso Picacho Campground, which costs $10 then make your way to Fire Rd or Lookout Rd on google. This is an all asphalt road that will lead you all the way up the mountain.  There are some detours on dirt, but you can ignore them if you want to reach the top. This was definitely my favorite due to its scenery, especially in the winter when it’s green and you can see many contrasts in the landscape the further you hike.  Once you reach the top, you will be able to see downtown SD and the ocean (on a clear day). Today was quite hazy, but I could still make out the scenery in the distance. It’s also a relatively quick hike where I finished in about 2.5 hours. It’s 3 miles up all the way up!
