Exceptional 360° View

Drove up CA-2 Angeles Crest Highway carefully worrying about ice and frost and reached picnic area about 6:50 on Sunday morning.  The parking lot was already half full and people lined up in front of bathrooms.  The trail was moist but no ice or snow and was very crowded.  My legs were still tired from three hikes week before and it was hard to keep up with other people.  It took us almost three hours to go up to the summit where we had big lunch.  The view from the top was just exceptional. We came down in a little over one hour as strong wind kicked up after noon.
