Perfect trail conditions. Perfect snack-size hike for day after R2R!
A hiker at the view summit said someone measured the elevations at the view summit and true summit in the trees, and found the view summit actually higher. I used Gaia GPS to compared the view summit, true summit, and the false summit between them. The true summit was 10,268’, the false summit 10,269’, and the view summit 10,270’. Of course my iPhone isn’t a reliable measurement device, but this was interesting.
