Another beautiful morning to get out and enjoy life.
Prescott, Arizona was a little warmer than Flagstaff. Granite Mountain is the perfect name for this trail. I can’t imagine hiking this trail in the summer time. Little shade. Lots of sun.
The foliage starts with pine, oak, juniper. What I noticed is the trees were dying. I assumed because of our dry hot summers for the last 2 years.
The trail meanders through boulders of granite. Easy to follow. Views were amazing.
At the top you would never believe it. A meadow. Burnt from the fires
