Hot fun in the summertime – Granite Mt. Grind

Holy shit it was so hot. We started early but not early enough. The hike was beautiful and some nice little run off streams to cool down in along the way. One of the biggest and longest rock (boulder) scrambles at the top!! But such a payoff view at the top!!!  I went w my daughter and we were planning on hitting Mailbox the next day but the sun drained  every reserve of energy we had! We sat in the parking lot eating snacks and drinking a beer- saying ” Ah yah…. no way Mailbox tomorrow!”
