Humphreys Peak Slog

This was a group hike with Laura and her friend Maria. We met at the trailhead and started hiking. This was their first time to hike it while it was my fifth time to hike it since 2019 and also just a week after I had hiked Colorado’s highpoint Mt. Elbert. The trail had a lot of hikers. There were a lot of bugs this day, surprisingly at the summit which caused many hikers not to stay there for long after summiting. Since Laura and Maria had to leave early I let them hike ahead on the way back while I took longer breaks. I got down with no incident. This was also the start of the Arizona Summer Challenge for me.
