- First off the parking lot at the trailhead was full by 9am. So we parked across the street and walked to the trail. From the time we started up I was feeling the elevation in my lungs. We got lucky and there was some shaded areas to rest. It helped alot. Switchbacks that seem to last forever and then we see the lookout tower and many antana. Its seemed hot today as well but we made it.
