Mount Wilson

This was my first time on this trail.  Started a little after 7 am.  The way up was beautiful.  It was overcast most of the day which was perfect for the strenuous way up.  But the last 1.5 to 2 miles to the peak it started getting foggy and a little rain was falling on us occasionally.  I underestimated the cold (mainly from the wind chill) at the top and regretted not bringing my gloves.  Couldn’t find the spot where people take a pic with the sign and it was so cold I didn’t really care.  Warmed up and ate lunch inside the Astronomy museum before heading down. Fortunately the temperature became much more tolerable shortly after leaving the peak. Coming down and seeing the recently burned area was eerie. It was such a stark contrast to the other side of the mountain, but it had its own beauty. I will definitely be back before the summer.
