Nice Butte!

When I woke up in the morning it was raining and windy, but I decided to head out anyway hoping the weather would improve. When I was on my way to the trailhead the rain had stopped. I was thankful. I was supposed to meet Jeff and a group for the hike, but I had to get an early start due to a commitment. The hike to the upper trailhead was good. It was a little chilly, but not bad. The hike from there to the summit was colder as the wind picked up. Low clouds also obscured the beautiful views you are typically treated to. On the way down, I saw Jeff and met another challenger named Cindy.  There were supposed to be more people in the group, but  I’m sure the inclement weather kept a few folks in bed.
