On Top of the Clouds: Mt Woodson

Starting at Lake Poway is great. Nice facilities and parking. Also the starting view is lovely. Once you leave the Lake Poway trail to head up the mountain, the first hill is not fun. More like a service road with loose rocks. Past that the trail is interesting and more fun.

My hike was very over cast and very humid. Everybody was soaked. I was IN the clouds. About 100 years from the top, I broke through the clouds. It was amazing!!! It felt like I was on top of the world.
