I arrived at the parking lot at 7:30 AM. The lot closest to the trail already had a few cars parked, likely from couples who arrived early. The sky was clear, sunny, and warm. I usually wear a sweater for early hikes, but a shirt was enough this time.

I hit the trail at 8:00 AM. It was a moderate, steady hike all the way to the top, mostly shaded by trees—except for the last couple of yards leading to the summit. It had rained heavily in the previous days, so the path was wet and somewhat muddy, though not slippery on the way up. I could hear the sound of distant streams, and in some areas, small streams crossed the trail.

Along the way, I noticed a few mushrooms growing beside the trail and some wildflowers nearing the end of their bloom. I reached the summit at 10:45 AM. It was very windy and sunny at the top, offering stunning 360-degree views. The foliage was about midway through its peak, with some areas showing brilliant colors—it added a lot to the hike’s enjoyment.

After 30 minutes of taking in the views and rehydrating, I began my descent to complete the loop. On the way down, my wet shoes from the mud and water made the trail slippery, so I proceeded carefully. I made a couple of stops to enjoy the views on this side of the mountain and safely returned to the parking lot at 2:15 PM.
