Picacho Peak — Buggy at the Top!

Boy, am I happy that I read the description of this hike first!

I spent the best $4.99 before doing this hike on a pair of fitness gloves from Marshalls. I’m honestly not sure that I would have been able to do this hike w/o them.

I wasn’t so sure what to expect with the cables, so I was imaging the worst. They actually turned out to be quite fun! A good challenge! I don’t have a whole lot of upper body strength, so a challenge, definitely! I swear the cables early on in the beginning were either put there 1) to scare people off or 2) as a tease, since they’re really much more difficult.

The hike itself was fun — a decent amount of up, a little down, before a lot more up.

Only thing I didn’t like were all of the flies/bugs at the peak. They were unbearable — I spent less than three minutes at the top before retreating!
