Plan B and Incredible Hulking Lady Bug

So we started off with the intent of hiking Bill Williams but lo and behold when we arrived at the trailhead we found it closed, again, due to fire hazard. So we headed east to Flagstaff and climbed Eldon. At 6:30 there were already five or six cars in the parking lot, so we knew it was shaping up to be a busy day. On the way up ZI saw this bug hanging out on a rack and on closer inspection it looked like a lady but from Bruce Banners lab! It was much larger than a regular lady bug and a different color but shaped about the same. I took a quick picture and moved on, I could swear I heard a tiny “Hulk Smash” coming from that rock!

All in all it was a great day for hiking, a little warm in the afternoon but bearable. It was definitely crowed with a mixed bag of hikers, some clearly experienced and fit and some not so much.
