Ready Eddy?

I literally drove up from Campbell this morning just to hike this mountain and complete the challenge, then drove home!  I wasn’t going to have a chance in the next month or two, so had to take advantage of the day off from work!

Its a great hike, but for whatever reason, it felt harder than Brokeoff, even though there is less elevation gain and I climbed Brokeoff an hour after Lassen, so that should’ve been harder.  Maybe it was the roughly 1000ft you gain on relentless switchbacks that last mile, or maybe I was just tired.  Either way, beautiful views in all directions. Even though it was not the clearest of days, I was able to see all the peaks of the challenge from the top, including Lassen and Brokeoff in the distance through the haze.
