Rose Peak

Lovely hike through the hills. Some steep sections, particulary around miles 2-5. Beautiful golden grasses. Cows with young calves. A very nice day hike. Also multiple water sources along the trail (filtering needed) and backpacking campsites. Would like to try those sites on future trips. Overall well-marked trails. Plenty of incline but it was largely spread out so not too bad. The only negative I have is that the peak itself is not marked and there are trees blocking part of the view. The views were lovely for most of the hike but the summit itself was a bit of a let down. And since it’s not even marked, I wouldn’t have known that was it if I didn’t have AllTrails.
