The Sunol Wilderness park doesn’t open until 8 am, so started on Calaveras Road, adding another 1.1 mile to start. A little muddy after the rain this week, but otherwise stellar conditions. Encountered one hiker all day – a guy that had camped overnight at backpacker’s camp. Cows really loved the road on this trip, we circled around off-piste several times. Sunny, light wind. Perfect.
