Ruckover Day on Cuyamaca

Start from Paso Picacho Campground where you’ll pay a $10 day fee (credit card only). There are a lot of intersecting trails, but they’re well-marked, so as long as you pay attention, the trail is easy to follow. Aside from some rocky parts where you’ll need to watch your footing, it’s not too difficult of climb. The last bit is along the paved fire road which gets quite steep, so be prepared to get your heart rate up a bit on this one. Weather in early November was perfect, and the view from the top was stunning.
