If you live in the Rancho Santa Margarita area this is an excellent training hike for the other “Six Peaks”.
There is a mix of trail conditions. Very steep, rocky and steep, through creek beds. Also smooth and down which had to be climbed on the way back.
Saw lots of deer tracks also Cat scat. Lots of Cat scat.
It was very quiet. Saw one mountain biker as I left the summit. One hiker as I was almost back to my car and the trailhead.
I used AllTrails but the trail was easy to follow
