Social networking on Lassen ????

I was surprised to see the gigantic parking lot at the Lassen Peak trailhead. This is an extremely well-kept trail and highly traveled. There is a false peak before you hit the actual peak with the geo marker, where we found a lot of people to chat with. The mood was high as people coming down said, “You are almost there!” and we got to pay that forward on our descent. After the false peak that is highly traveled, we continued through some snow all the way to the rocky climb to the actual peak. This trail has almost zero tree coverage, so it’s good to do this one on a cooler day. An absolutely beautiful day and a great peak to enjoy!
