Sutton with the Muttins
Also on this hike
We made the extra road to Sutton Mountain which was worth the drive. The trail was in good shape…meaning no caked-on mud like last year when I did it with our local Six Peaks group. The trail is basically an overgrown farm road. The views are lovely and different. The token guest dog was there to greet us again. He had a buddy too, but his age didn’t allow him to hike the entire trail. We brought our dog as well. The dogs got along well, and the 1 dog and our dog did the entire hike. Post-hike, we hit Tiger Town Brewing in Mitchell for a pint and lunch. Cool spot. We chose to hit the Painted Hills after filling our bellies. It’s about 20 minutes from Mitchell. If you haven’t been, put it on the TDL (to do list).
