Ticking off #6 at Gaviota Peak

Ran a loop to Gaviota Peak this morning. Up the Trespass Trail and down the fire road from Gaviota Peak. Trespass was a bit overgrown but passable. Lots of hiking on the way up where it was too overgrown and/or too steep for running. Downhill was nicely graded for an easy cruise. Views from the peak are great. Would make a nice spot to watch a Vandenburg launch. Parking lot was still closed but there’s room to park along the frontage road outside the no parking zone. Park may officially open tomorrow 8/7
