Mollie and I started the hike around 7:30 am. The temperature was quite warm but there was a nice breeze the entire time, so I never felt too hot.

We took the Five Oaks Trail to the top, then took the Volcan Mountain Trail back down. Last year we did the opposite, and I prefer the way we did it this time since we had beautiful views of Julian during our ascent.

There were more people on this trail compared to the last time we did it, but it wasn’t crowded by any means.
