Washington!!!!

This hike had been my end of summer goal and we nailed it including Lion’s Head summit. We began at six after a less than ideal night of sleep. We car camped in the Walmart parking lot but drove to Pinkham Notch at 3am becvause neither of us could sleep. (Any suggestions on where to sleep in the White Mountains would be greatly appreciated.) It was a beautiful ascent, but the summit was lost in the clouds. I took the descent very slowly because we went down the Tuckerman’s trail which was wet and often went through the falls. Thank you Social Hiker for creating this challenge and getting me out of my comfort zone.
