After completed Brokeoff Mountain in the morning, I decided to do Lassen Peak at night. It was my first night hike, but apparently it is a thing on this trail (especially on full moons). No moon the night we did it, but the stars were amazing!

We started out a little after 6pm. Trail was clear but there are some loose rocks to be careful over. We made summit a little after sunset. The peak was freezing! Bring layers. With headlamps and poles, you can make your way safely down in the dark. Also, saw several toads, salamanders, and pikas with our lights. Cool first experience for me!
