We started the hike at 7am. Weather conditions at the start of the hike were great, clear and cool, given it had rained the day prior. Trail was surprisingly not muddy and we didn’t hit snow until after manzanita ridge (about 5.2 miles in). There was one specific area on the toll road where it seemed as though a rock slide had occurred, so we had to climb over a few big rocks, but very doable! This was our first “snow” hike, and all I have to say is WOW! Best experience hiking thus far! 10/10 would recommended! Wish it was clear at the peak but we did get fog and couldn’t see out over the peak. We ended at 16miles and about 8 hours moving time.
